Silver Flowers on Golden Grass is my first attempt at Surrealism, since I started painting again. The idea behind this painting is love. More specifically the risk and pain that is associated with love. Flowers have always been associated with love, in my painting I gave the flowers razor wire instead of thorns and made the flowers silver. Razor wire is use to keep people away, in this painting, the razor wire serves as a deterrent for those who would seek to have the silver roses. I created this painting around the summer of 2009.
